Treys wings started to move up and down as he slowly lifted off the ground. After a few seconds the rive had shrunk considerably. "Enjoying the view?" Trey asked.

Trey flew up a little higher then just started going in random directions. He held onto Willow as he flew in circles in the air. "Uh oh" Trey said to himself as he noticed his glove was slipping off.

"My glove.." Before Trey had a chance to finish his sentence his glove slipped off and plummetted toward the Earth below. The hand beneath the glove barely looked normal, it was black and looked like it had been charred in fire.

"I was too sure of myself" Trey told her hiding his hand. He slowly started to descend himself toward where the glove landed

"Trey...what happened?" she asked repeating herself as they reached the ground. She let go stepping back confused and grabbed for his hand, drawing it towards herself she ran a finger over the skin and looked at him.

"You were alive when the darkness was here, right?" Trey asked. "Well me and my sister, we... encountered it. Head on. I tried everything to protect her but... I failed." He added. "I thought when the elves got rid of it we would get better, but we didn't" He said.

Trey spotted his glove and picked it up. As he put it on he replied, "You shouldn't be sorry. It wasn't your fault". He held up his now gloved left hand for her to see. "This is my burden, not yours" He explained to her.

Heidi was perched on the topmost braches of an oak tree not far from the river when she heard a noise and turned suddenly to see the pixie boy flying with the elf girl. Heidi never had friends as everyone though she was a freak, she looked like an angel gone bad. She wondered what it would be like for the pixie and the elf, she knew compared to them, her problems were pointless.
